Justin Bieber Forgets 'Jesus'

Justin Bieber was so busy and focused working on his album, "Believe," he forgot "Jesus." Before everyone faints, JB has not abandoned his religion. He just forgot his gold "Jesus" necklace and chain. He left it in the studio where it was fortunately found by Kiki Palmer and returned.

Justin Bieber has often said that his music means more to him than almost anything else in the world—with the exception of his family and presumably Selena Gomez. (Relax, beliebers, he calls you guys part of his family.) And yesterday he proved it by getting so into his music that he walked out of the studio minus one of his most cherished possessions—his Jesus necklace. As you can see in the photo here, JB seemed lost in a creative reverie jamming on the drums while working on the eagerly awaited album, "Believe." Along with the photo, Justin Tweeted:
"in the studio working on #BELIEVE."
Interestingly, he is not wearing the necklace. Why did he remove it? Was it interfering with his movements while drumming? Or did he hang it somewhere in view for inspiration? Only Justin knows for sure. He's just lucky that his friend Kiki Palmer found the necklace and returned it to him.
she tweeted:
"
@justinbieber you left your chain i the booth! Haha, :-p "
Oddly, beliebers who saw the tweet and photo seemed less concerned about their idol's almost-lost Jesus necklace than about Kiki Palmer's nails. They were, for some inexplicable reason, grossed out by them. In fact, the consensus was "Eeewww." Go figure.
So all's well that ends well. It would have been sad indeed if Justin Bieber had lost his necklace. However, it wouldn't have been the end of the world. JB always carries his personal relationship with Jesus in his heart. Not to mention in the tattoos on his side and his leg.
Believe.

“Wow!! In the studio with @justinbieber and #Believe is going to be ridiculous!!!” Scooter tweeted about Justin’s 2012 release. Scooter’s message came the same day that Justin announced that he’s officially working on the project.
“Start recording full time for #BELIEVE today. let the fun begin! #newMusic,” he tweeted on Tuesday, hours later adding, “#studio.”
But it seems that he’ll take a break to hit up the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is currently underway in Las Vegas. “heading to vegas in the morning for CES. Gonna see what is coming next. #gadgetNERD,” he tweeted.

Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez’s Romantic Date At P.F. Chang’s

Justin Bieber was quite the gentleman when he took Selena Gomez to lunch in Sherman Oaks, Calif. Jan. 10.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are relishing in each other’s presence and even took time out of their busy afternoons to go to a romantic lunch at P.F. Chang’s in Sherman Oaks, Calif. Jan. 10.
“Justin and Selena came here for lunch earlier today,” a source at the popular Chinese chain told us. “They were both really sweet and down to earth. They walked in holding hands and left holding hands.”
The eyewitness said Justin, 17, and Selena, 19, dined on steamed dumplings, edamame, crispy green beans, lo mein and the Buddha’s Feast.
“Justin paid the bill,” the insider said, adding, “They both looked really happy.”
Jelena just returned from Mexico, where they went for a romantic weekend escape. Today was busy for Justin, as he started recording his next album, Believe, as well.

Lil Twist And Justin Bieber To Drop Single 'Real Soon'

Lil Twist has spent a long time prepping his Young Money debut Don’t Get It Twisted. The LP which was originally supposed to drop in 2011 has already yielded quite a few singles and many big name features. Lil Wayne appears on the R&B-laced “Love Affair,” 2 Chainz keeps things street on “Do What I Want” and Busta Rhymes trades super quick bars on “Turnt Up.” Twist hasn’t played all of his cards though, the 18-year old MC plans to release his new single with Justin Bieber real soon.
"We're getting ready to drop that record 'Wherever You Are.' Y'all will have that real soon," Lil Twist told MTV News of the high-powered collaboration. "It's a fun record. Justin killed it. He's, like, rap-singing on it; another different sound for Justin."
Twist, who built his fanbase thanks to pop-rap joints like "Little Secret" with Bow Wow and "Love Affair," has been developing a harder edge lately. His recently released video for the Busta Rhymes-assisted "Turnt Up" focuses more on the 18-year old's rap bars rather than his penchant for catchy hooks. His Golden Child mixtape, which he dropped in December, also shows a similar growth. But with "Wherever You Are," Twist just promises a good time.
"It's gonna be great. It's a cool summer record," Twist told MTV News last August. "It's a party song. Straight for the sun. It's a Miami record."

While the record has been in the works for some time, Twist is almost ready to let to go. "Just me and Justin, people been waiting on that," he said of his bond with the Biebs. "That's my brother right there. It's just been a long time coming. Now that we been had the record done, it's time to put it out."

Justin Bieber Says He Talks To God

Popstar opens up about religious beliefs in new issue of V magazine.

Just days after debuting his new Jesus tattoo, Justin Bieber is opening up about his views on God and religion in the new issue of V magazine.
"A lot of people who are religious, I think they get lost. They go to church just to go to church. I'm not trying to disrespect them, but for me, I focus more on praying and talking to him," the cover boy explains in the issue, according to the Winnipeg Free Press. "I don't have to go to church."
The singer's strong religious beliefs have always been a part of his public persona.
At the 2011 VMAs, when Justin accepted the Moonman for Best Male Video for "U Smile," he thanked God. Justin said:

"I just want to say thank you so much, not only to God but to Jesus," . "Because I wouldn't be here without Him. He's really blessed me. He's put me in this position. So I want to say thank you so much."
The issue hits newsstands on Thursday. Justins's look was styled by Lady Gaga's stylist and Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti. The photos were shot by other Gaga associates, fashion photographers Inez and Vinoodh.

In the issue, the singer also talked about his rise to fame, noting that now that he's reached superstardom, haters and critics have been focused on bringing him down. "Now that I'm on top, everyone wants to bring me down. Everyone's trying to tug at me and take my spot," he said. "Like Floyd Mayweather, he's the best boxer in the world. Now he is a champion. Every time he goes to a fight now, people are like, 'He's going to lose this time.' "

As 2012 presses on, Justin Bieber is poised to have another big year, regardless of what the non-Beliebers say. He's currently recording his next album,Believe, set for release later this
year.

Justin Bieber Starts To Cry When Donating Money & Toys To Needy Kids

Justin has admitted in the past that he and his family struggled so badly to get by that they went to food banks and on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show,’ Justin got choked up while giving back at an elementary school!

Justin Bieber is the most generous celebrity in Hollywood. The 17-year-old heard that Ellen Degeneres was helping Whitney Elementary, a school in Las Vegas where most of the 610 students are homeless, don’t have food and are barely getting by — Justin donated $100,000 and toys!
Sherrie Gahn, the principal of the school, has been helping the school raise money for a decade and when she met Justin she started to cry! She told Ellen in an interview that after Justin performed for the students, signed shirts and gave them toys one child told her “I dream of dreams like this.”
Justin sang “Baby” and even answered questions from the children and told them he and Selena go to the movies on the weekend and “kiss!”
At one point Justin told Sherrie: “I had my grandparents and these kids have you.”

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga top list of “Celebs Gone Good”

It seems Lady Gaga isn’t quite the little monster she makes herself out to be as the pop singer held her spot at the top of the annual “Celebs Gone Good” list, released by dosomething.org last week.
One celebrity who did shake up the standings, though, was Stratford’s own Justin Bieber, climbing from the 10th spot last year to second place.
The 17-year-old’s jump comes after founding the Believe Charity Drive, which focuses on education, music and the well-being of children. Part of the profits from his holiday album Under the Mistletoe, which has sold more than two million copies, also went directly to the drive. Most recently, Justin invested in Sojo Studios, which creates Facebook games that earn money for charities.
But Justin couldn’t top Gaga, who advocated for gay rights and AIDS/ HIV awareness in Africa throughout the year. She also recently announced the 2012 launch of the Born This Way Foundation, which will focus on youth empowerment through anti-bullying legislation advocacy, mentoring and career development.
In the third spot was George Clooney for his advocacy for human rights in Sudan, which included an editorial he wrote in the Washington Post. Other celebs who remained on the list include Leonardo Di Caprio and Ellen DeGeneres.
At the bottom of the list was Taylor Swift, who dropped from the third to the 20th spot.

Justin Bieber Invests in Sojo Studios’ Social Gaming for Good

Justin Bieber has invested in social game company Sojo Studios, a company that embeds charitable giving into its games. The young superstar today announced his involvement the same way he launched his career, by using Facebook and Twitter to connect directly with his fans.
Justin and  Ellen DeGeneres will use their entertainment industry status to support WeTopia, Sojo’s first title, as well as future games.
Justin posted the following to his Facebook page at 12:46 p.m. PST: “a fan first showed me this and now I am Proud to be a part of WeTopia. When you play, you help kids in the REAL WORLD. Let’s all play this game and really MAKE A CHANGE. thanks”
Within two hours, that update had received nearly 18,000 “likes” and hundreds of “shares.” He also tweeted the information to his 15.6 million followers, making all but one of them jealous by later giving a shout-out to @MiKSHiNE as the fan who introduced him to WeTopia.
Players build a WeTopia village, which rewards beneficial behavior like helping neighbors by adding the in-game virtual currency known as Joy to their accounts. It’s free to play, although the option is available to purchase Joy using Facebook credits. Gamers can then choose actual, non-virtual projects that will receive their Joy, in return for which they get pictures, videos and in-game messages to track their contributions. Initial nonprofit partners include Save the Children, buildOn and Children’s Health Fund.

Justin Said:

“Playing online games can be a lot of fun, and WeTopia makes it even better by helping children around the world, whether they need a school, or vaccinations, or clean water,”
“I’ve always been passionate about giving back, and I hope my fans will feel the same way when they play WeTopia.”
This is hardly the first time he has leveraged his popularity to aid others. Earlier this year Bieber announced the Believe Charity Drive, which receives a portion of the North American proceeds from sales of his currentUnder The Mistletoe album. He also worked with interactive firm AgencyNet and online fundraising platform StayClassy to create a section of his site where fans can make direct contributions to seven of his chosen charities: Pencils of Promise;Project Medishare for Haiti;City of Hope;Make-A-Wish Foundation andwww.worldwish.org;Boys & Girls Clubs of America;Musicians On Call; and theGRAMMY Foundation.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Justin Bieber, an amazing entertainer and someone who has emerged as one of the most prolific young philanthropists this world has seen,” said Lincoln Brown, founder and chief executive officer of Sojo Studios. “Justin is using his voice to inspire millions of fans around the world – including daughters and their moms – to give back. We can’t think of a better way to bring the generations together than on WeTopia, which lets players do good while having fun.”

Justin Bieber and the principal: The real story

The story is being told about how 17-year-old pop sensation Justin Bieber went to a high-poverty school in Las Vegas, gave a private concert to over-the-moon students and handed a $100,000 check to the delighted principal.

The real story is about what that principal, Sherrie Gahn, has done for and with the students at Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas, where more than 85 percent of the more than 600 students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, which is a measure of poverty. Many live in houses without heat, electricity and running water.
What gets overlooked in the story’s telling is that Gahn has been successful improving student achievement because she has not ignored the circumstances of her students’ lives outside class but instead has tried to address the effects of the poverty in which they live.
For those people concerned about standardized test scores, they’ve gone up significantly since she’s been there and worked, through private donations, to help her students.
While many school reformers today say that citing poverty as a reason for poor student performance is just an excuse for bad teaching, Gahn knows better.
She arrived at Whitney about eight years ago and promised Whitney parents that she would help them with their bills — and even help pay college tuition for any students who went — if they would work with her to raise children “of character.”
Here’s what she told Ellen DeGeneres that she told parents: “I’ll pay your electrical bill, your utilities, I’ll give you food or clothes, whatever you need, as long as you give me your child and then help raise that child as a person of character.”
Once, according to this article in Scholastic Administrator, she arranged to have every child in her school receive a pair of new shoes, but when they arrived, most of them didn’t fit. She realized that when teachers collected the shoe sizes of their students, the kids’ were wearing previously donated shoes that didn’t fit.
Here's the video:

In a segment of The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Jan. 4, 2012, Bieber is shown handing a $100,000 check to Gahn (which was a matching gift to a donation of the same amount from Target) to help her students with necessities, a promise he had made a few months ago. He also treated the students to a private concert Friday.
As one might expect, stories about this subject are heavy on Bieber. This Associated Press story about Bieber’s largesse to the school talks a little while before making it clear that the real hero at that school has been Gahn.
That’s not to say that Bieber’s involvement with the school isn’t worth noting. Whenever one of the super rich hands over $100,000 to a public school principal without telling her how to use it, it is an occasion to applaud. He toured the school, talked to the kids and brought presents. Good for him.
But the real story is how Gahn has raised money, created partnerships with various organizations and done everything possible to help her students and their families with basic necessities and more. Why? Because as an educator she knew her students couldn’t succeed without this help.
And the Scholastic article notes that the need is never filled.
“How do I tell the 251st child there isn’t enough food for her?” Gahn was quoted as saying. “It’s an impossible kind of triage.”
What is also impossible is this: Twenty-two percent of American children live in poverty, and the emphasis of modern school reform ignores this fact. As long as this is the case, educating needy kids who don’t have Gahn as their principal will be impossible.

Justin Bieber Graduates To 'Adult Game' On New Album

Justin Bieber Graduates To 'Adult Game' On New Album
Justin Bieber And His Music Director Kuk Harerll
Justin Bieber has said that he wants to pull a Justin Timberlake on his next album. So what exactly does that mean? His longtime vocal producer, Kuk Harrell, spoke to MTV News about the early stages of Bieber's next release.

"The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," said Harrell, who has also worked with Rihanna on her Talk That Talk record.
He added:

"And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between."
With further details on this next album being kept under wraps, Bieber is busy celebrating the holidays. He's slated to release his video for "All I Want for Christmas," co-starring Mariah Carey, on Wednesday. Harrell worked with Bieber on his Under the Mistletoe LP and says agreeing to do a Christmas album with the teen phenomenon was an easy yes.

"That's why I think this Christmas album was really important because it gave everybody the opportunity to hear him, see him and get used to his voice changing. That was a huge thing going into this album. We were able to get a running start on where he's at vocally 'cause it's a natural thing. When his proper album comes out, everybody's going to really be looking at that."
What will be noticeably different on this next album, which was teased on his holiday album, is that Bieber's voice will be much deeper. So does Harrell think it'll be changing a lot more for this next record? "I think he's pretty good right now," he said. "It's just a matter of him settling [into] where he is."
Regardless of what magic does end up making the final cut on this album, which Bieber has said may include work from Drake and Kanye West, Harrell notes that the 17-year-old is "always willing to bring a new fire."

Justin Bieber Wants A 'Mature' Sound For His Next Album, Signs Up Drake & Kanye West

Justin Bieber seems to have his heart set on continuing to link up with the hip-hop world for his upcoming projects. Having just linked up with Busta Rhymes on his latest Christmas-themed album, the 17-year-old Canadian has announced collaborations with a few more heavyweight names are in the pipeline.

In an interview with Capital FM the singer revealed he plans to work with both Kanye West and Drake for his next album, Believe, as part of his new, "mature" sound.
"I’m working with a lot of cool people. I’m working with Kanye. Drake is gonna work on the album with me and a lot of different artists," he said.
Producer Danja, who is working on the album, told Rap-Up.com the collaborations are part of Bieber's new sound, saying "What I’m creating for him I think is definitely a more mature sound. That’s where he’s headed now.”
Believe is due for release in early 2012, while his Christmas album Under the Mistletoe is out on November 1st.

Justin Bieber Manager Scooter Braun Says News Album Likely To Release In Summer

Justin Bieber is working on a studio album called 'Believe' and it will be out sometime in the summer, or earlier, or later, of 2012. Fans can't wait.
The latest news on Justin Bieber's follow-up album to 2010's 'My World' has come from Bieber's manager and was given out in an interview with 'The Hollywood Reporter' on Oct. 23, 2011. The scoop is this: Bieber is working on the album, it's tentatively titled 'Believe' and it is likely to be out in the summer of 2012.
Or possibly later. Or earlier.
"He's pretty adamant about writing a lot of (songs for 'Believe')," Braun said. "And he played me some stuff that he's been doing on his own. He wrote this amazing song that sounds like a Jodeci record. I'm really excited for him. This kid can sing his ass off. He's coming into his own."

Bieber himself had commented on his next record recently (not to be confused with his Christmas album, 'Under the Mistletoe', due out November 1) while talking with MTV during the just-completed South American leg of his 'My World' tour. He spoke of getting to work on 'Believe'.
"What's happening is: get off this tour, and then my (Christmas) album is out, so I have to go back out and promote that album," MTV reporter James Montgomery quoted Bieber as saying. "And then after that it's almost time for my next album, so then everything starts over again.
"We're going to be going in every day and working with new people and trying to find the best sound," he said of the new record, which, like 'Under the Mistletoe', will feature other artists as guests. "I'm going to be recording different styles, different things until I find a solid 15 songs that I love. I'm going to be recording as many songs as I possibly can."

For the record, Jedeci, the band Braun talked about when he mentioned one of Bieber's new songs, is an American R&B, soul band comprised of 2 sets of 2 brothers that gained big-time record sales in the 90's. Their stuff got a lot of air play and after going in different directions for a decade or so, they got back together two year ago and released a tune called Knockin' Your Heels.
Naturally, the point isn't that a tune sounds like Jodeci so much as it is that Bieber is writing songs on his own. While he received a writing credit on each of the 10 songs on 'My World' - which was released only two weeks after he turned 16 - he did not write any of those songs on his own.
He's clearly growing as an artist and when 'Believe' gets here, fans will be able to hear just how much he's grown. Ultimately, while he has influences, his sound is all his own.
