Mariah Yeater's Attorney: We Hoped To Settle With Justin Bieber Out Of Court

Teen popstar Justin Bieber has reportedly agreed to take a paternity test to prove he's not the father of 20-year-old Mariah Yeater's three-month-old son, but lawyers for the woman claim they had hoped to settle the matter out of court.

RadarOnline reports that Jeffery Leving, one of Yeater's attorneys, appeared on "Lifechangers with Dr. Drew" on Tuesday and claimed they tried to contact Bieber's lawyers before the lawsuit had been filed and never received a response.

Of course, settling out of court would have theoretically meant avoiding the media circus the lawsuit has brought for both parties, but it also suggests that Yeater's case is not as strong as she claims.

Leving told the show he wants a "carefully supervised" DNA test to establish paternity, adding that the wealthy shouldn't be able to bully a single mother. "Justice is not a luxury for the rich," he said.

Until the results of the paternity test are in we can't say for sure who is lying, but Yeater's recent appearance on "The Insider," did not seem to help her case.

When asked about her ex-boyfriend John Terranova,...
she wouldn't comment and then appeared visibly flustered when told Terranova's grandmother said Yeater accused her grandson in 2010 of getting her pregnant. Yeater is actually due in court Dec. 12, on battery charges linked to her allegations.

Yeater also walked out of the interview when asked if any of the other girls who were backstage at the concert where she says she had sex with Bieber could confirm her version of the events.

Bieber has responded to the allegations denying that he ever met Yeater and yesterday he Tweeted:

so this past week and even today every rumor and lie about me possible has been coming out in the press. Just need to ignore it..but..

Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe' Brightens Billboard 200 With No. 1 Debut

Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe' Brightens Billboard 200 With No. 1 Debut

Justin Bieber continues to break records on Billboard's charts, as his "Under the Mistletoe" album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 210,000 in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The collection is the first Christmas set by a male artist to debut at No. 1 in the 55-year history of the chart and just the eighth holiday album to hit No. 1. Susan Boyle's 2010 album "The Gift" is the only other Christmas effort to open atop the list.

Previous to Boyle, the six earlier holiday albums to top the Billboard 200 were:
Josh Groban's "Noel" (1997), Kenny G's "Miracles - the Holiday Album" (1994), Mitch Miller's "Holiday Sing Along With Mitch" (1962) and "Christmas Sing-Along With Mitch" (1958), Bing Crosby's "Merry Christmas" (1957) and Elvis Presley's "Elvis' Christmas Album" (1957).

Further, "Mistletoe" marks the 17-year old's third No. 1 album. He is the first soloist to earn three No. 1s before their 18th birthday. Previously, he was tied with LeAnn Rimes, who notched two No. 1s in 1997 -- before she turned 16.

Justin Bieber: The Billboard Cover Story

His first No. 1 album came on the chart dated April 10, 2010, with "My World 2.0." His second was the "Never Say Never: The Remixes" EP on March 5, 2011.

"Mistletoe" starts with Bieber's third-best sales week, after the first two frames of his last studio album, "My World 2.0." That title bowed with 283,000 and then shifted 291,000 in its second stanza.

But Bieber isn't the only news this week on the Billboard 200 -- not by a long shot. Six total debuts populate the top 10, including the entire top four. It's the first time the chart's Nos. 1-4 slots have been debuts since the Feb. 5 tally, when the Decemberists' "The King Is Dead" bowed at No. 1.

Rapper Wale arrives at No. 2 this week with his second effort, "Ambition," selling 164,000, while Miranda Lambert's "Four the Record" starts at No. 3 with 133,000. The previously mentioned Boyle begins at No. 4 with her third set, "Someone to Watch Over Me" (132,000).

For the former two acts, their latest albums bring them their best sales weeks yet and highest charting sets. Wale's last release, "Attention Deficit," spent just two weeks on the list, peaking at No. 21 with a 28,000 debut. Lambert's previous best sales start was with "Revolution's" 66,000 bow at No. 8 in 2009. Her highest charting album, until this week, was the No. 6 arrival of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" in 2007.

Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe To Top Billboard

Christmas is coming early for Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe To Top Billboard

Based on early estimates, it looks as if his Under the Mistletoe holiday album will claim the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 with sales in the neighborhood of 200,000 to 225,000 copies.
If those figures hold — and if Bieber can withstand a late charge from rapper Wale's Ambition — it will give the teen-pop sensation his second consecutive #1 debut, following in the footsteps of his My World 2.0 disc, which topped the charts in March 2010 with sales of more than 280,000 copies.

According to industry site HITS Daily Double, with a little more than half of the nation's retailers reporting sales, Mistletoe has already moved more than 150,000 units and holds a 40,000-album lead over Ambition.

And though, in recent days, he's been facing ongoing questions about the paternity suit filed against him by a 20-year-old woman, Bieber has been promoting Under the Mistletoe hard, logging a string of high-profile appearances that included premiering the video for the first single, "Mistletoe," live on MTV as well as interviews and performances on NBC's "Today" show, "Dancing With the Stars" and "The X Factor."

He also announced the formation of his Believe Charity Drive — he'll donate portions of the sales of Mistletoe to a spate of charitable organizations — and shot a pair of new videos for tracks on the album, including a "classic" clip with Mariah Carey on a version of her "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and a team-up with Boyz II Men on "Fa La La."

Justin Bieber's "Under The Mistletoe" Likely to Debut No.1 On Billboard Charts

The sales prognosticators over at Billboard are predicting that Justin Bieber‘s holiday set ‘Under the Mistletoe‘ will debut at No. 1 on the Top 200 sales chart next week. We didn’t doubt that the Beliebers would come out in full force to support their hero and his holiday set, and it appears that they answered the call. If the collection of fun, festive and spirit-filled tunes does debut at the top of the heap, it will be The Biebs’ third No. 1 release! And he’s only 17!

Insiders predict that the record will sell between 200,000 and 220,000 by the time the retail polls close next week. The final charts will be released on Wednesday morning.

The Biebs’ last time at No. 1 was the ‘Never Say Never: The Remixes’ EP, which dropped on March 5 with 165,000 copies moved at that time. His only competition next week is Wale, Susan Boyle, Miranda Lambert and Florence + the Machine, but all of their expected first week tallies fall well south of Bieber’s expected haul.

We’ll offer an advance “congrats” to The Biebs, because this one is in the back. Now, the rest of you Beliebers need to go nab a copy and blast it when you start to decorate your Christmas tree and wrap presents! We’re celebrating our holidays with a heaping helping of Justin Bieber Christmas songs.

21 Under 21: Justin Bieber comes in at No.1!

Birthdate: March 1, 1994 (age 17)
 Rank Last Year: No. 2
Why He’s Hot: Any way you slice it, Justin Bieber is at the top of the underage set, and in 2011 he gracefully takes our 21 Under 21 crown from now-21-year-old Taylor Swift. Although the Biebs hasn’t released a proper album since “My World 2.0″ in March 2010, the pop superstar has spent the past year essentially releasing everything else imaginable: an acoustic album, a 3D movie, a memoir, a new fragrance, a singing doll, and a lock of his hair, which became a hot item on eBay. Next up is a Christmas release, an insanely anticipated new album, and more time spent with pop star girlfriend Selena Gomez in between award shows and sold-out arena concerts. It’s Justin Bieber’s world — we’re just living in it.

ROUND AND ROUND AT #26

Selena's newest single "Round and Round" has debuted at #24 on Billboard's HOT 200! I personally find this very impressive keeping in my mind that the song was not promoted in anyway by hollywood records! I hope they start promoting it soon so the song can jump into a higher spot. Please make sure you keep requesting the song as many times as you can. Go to this post , find your local radio station and call and ask them to play the song. I hope it jumps into a higher spot by next week, at least between #1 and #15. Also Selena is coming back to America next week and she will start promoting Ramona and Beezus along with Round & Round so I'm sure that will help too!
